Prometheus, the Liberal Knowledge Centre of the Flemish Liberal Party (Open Vld), is a liberal think tank that aims to define liberalism in the 21st century and that aims to put important, current topics high on the political agenda.

Prometheus wants to proactively answer to different challenges in the near future. In this way, we want to lay the foundations for political liberalism in Flanders, Belgium and Europe.

Prometheus aims to formulate a clear vision of today's liberalism by means of progressive research, study sessions, publications, meetings and lectures.

By giving an innovative interpretation to contemporary liberalism, Prometheus is actually a leading institute amongst the international think tanks in Brussels.

Steven Vansteenkiste is the Director. He is former Head of Staff of the Flemish Minister Marino Keulen.

Rik Daems is Chairman of the Board. He is a former Belgium Minister and currently Member of the Belgian Parliament.
