The Kenniscentrum D66 (knowledge centre) works as a broker in knowledge, expertise and ideas for the Dutch liberal democratic party D66 (democraten 66). Having a staff of three, the main focus of our work lies in finding and implementing the talents of sympathizers of a liberal democratic (also often called: social-liberal) train of thought. It was originally founded in the 1970s and at first worked as a traditional research centre, writing reports and surveys.

Revolutionary, since the turn of the century, our approach has changed to the brokership, however the objective has remained the same: to generate concepts and ideas to strengthen the intellectual profile of D66; and to be a domain in which political thinking can regards developments in a more thoughtful manner.
